CRAFT BEER MADE IN-HOUSE SINCE 2011

LOCAL. SMALL-BATCH. POURED DAILY.

THE STORY BEHIND OUR BREWS

Moonlight Pizza & Brewpub started brewing beer in-house back in 2011, right inside the same building where we've been slinging pies since 1994. These days, our brewery lives next door in what used to be Salida's DMV. We might not be able to renew your license anymore, but we can promise a fresh, handcrafted beer worth the trip.

Our 7-barrel system powers an ever-changing lineup of beers—crafted with a love of community and a commitment to sustainability. From small-batch experiments to classic crowd-pleasers, each pour reflects our passion for quality, creativity, and good vibes.

Cheers. Prost. Salud. Sláinte!

MEET OUR BREWERS

HEAD BREWER & BREWHOUSE MANAGER

Craig Greene

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Craig has called Salida home since 2017 and leads Moonlight’s brewing program as Head Brewer and Brewhouse Manager. His introduction to craft beer began with drinking German beers with his family, and he was drawn to brewing by the creativity and variety behind every style. From crisp, easy-drinking lagers to bold small-batch experiments, Craig appreciates the unique personality of every beer he creates. Outside the brewhouse, you’ll find him spending time with his family, rafting, snowboarding and enjoying Colorado’s great outdoors. Fun fact: Craig was also a national wrestling competitor in high school!

ASSISTANT BREWER

David Sun

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee—and born in the UK—David found his way to Moonlight after answering a brewery job ad in The Mountain Mail. He loves helping create something honest and enjoyable that brings people together, and he especially enjoys the creativity involved in Moonlight’s fruit beers and gose series. When he isn’t helping Craig keep the brewhouse moving, David can usually be found cooking, reading, watching films, gardening, snowboarding or working on his photography. His guilty pleasures? Andy Capp’s Hot Fries and a really good pair of Smartwool socks.

MEET OUR BEERS

From crisp, easy-drinking lagers to hop-forward IPAs and rich, malty pours, our beer lineup offers something for every kind of beer drinker. Explore a few Moonlight favorites below, then check what’s currently pouring for our latest releases.

THE BREWER’S CORNER

Got a thing for rare brews? So do we.

In addition to our regular rotation, we often tap into our “small batch” side—a one-keg-at-a-time playground where anything goes. These ultra-limited releases have included everything from a Peach Wheat and Thai Chili Stout to a Barrel-Aged Wee Heavy and Blueberry Cream Ale.

If it sounds a little wild, it probably is—and that’s the fun of it. You’ll want to stop in often or risk missing the next experimental pour that sells out in a flash.

DOING BEER RIGHT

Great beer shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. At Moonlight, we’re always looking for ways to minimize waste. We feed our spent brewing grains to local livestock, and our 6-pack rings? They're made from barley and are completely biodegradable. Better beer, better karma.
