THE STORY BEHIND OUR BREWS

Moonlight Pizza & Brewpub started brewing beer in-house back in 2011, right inside the same building where we've been slinging pies since 1994. These days, our brewery lives next door in what used to be Salida's DMV. We might not be able to renew your license anymore, but we can promise a fresh, handcrafted beer worth the trip.

Our 7-barrel system powers an ever-changing lineup of beers—crafted with a love of community and a commitment to sustainability. From small-batch experiments to classic crowd-pleasers, each pour reflects our passion for quality, creativity, and good vibes.

HEAD BREWER & BREWHOUSE MANAGER

Craig Greene

As your dedicated buyer’s agent, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. I am a Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) certified professional, ensuring that you receive the highest level of service and expertise. My extensive training and commitment to continuous education set me apart in the real estate market of Chaffee and Fremont counties.

David Sun

Tara brings strategy, creativity, and consistency to every aspect of real estate marketing. From digital campaigns and social media to listing presentations and client engagement, she ensures every marketing detail is covered. With a background in marketing, branding, content creation, and digital strategy, she keeps everything running seamlessly behind the scenes. When she’s not crafting her marketing magic, you can find her traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family.

Meet Our Beers

SAWATCH RED | 5.8% ABV

Inspired by the mountains we love to play in, this Red Ale is has a toasty and full malt backbone, yet is hopped more aggressively than a traditional Red. Cascade hops.

BOHEMIAN PILSNER | 5% ABV

Bohemian style Pilsner. Easy drinking Lager, pleasantly hopped with traditional Czech Saaz hops(spicy, herbal hops). More hop flavor than our other light lagers.

PALE ALE | 5% ABV

Single Hop classic West Coast Pale ale. Pine, citrus, but not too heavy. Cascade hops.

STREET DOG PORTER | 5.8% ABV

Named for the numerous loose dogs running down the streets of Salida. This classic porter is rich with notes of coffee and chocolate, balanced with Cascade hops.

SKINNY DIPPER MEXICAN LAGER | 4.5% ABV

Born from our staff excursions where the beach meets the ocean, this light lager beats the heat. Crisp, refreshing, served with a lime. Brewed with a hint of corn.

HIGH SIDE! IPA | 6.5% ABV

This West Coast IPA is crisp, citrusy, piney, and the perfect compliment to a day on the river. Stay in the boat! Cascade, Chinook, and Simcoe hops.

AUBURN ALE | 5.8% ABV

One of the very first recipes brewed on-site that is still a staff favorite! This Amber Ale is a little toasty, hints of spice, and pleasantly hopped.

THE BREWER’S CORNER

Got a thing for rare brews? So do we.

In addition to our regular rotation, we often tap into our “small batch” side—a one-keg-at-a-time playground where anything goes. These ultra-limited releases have included everything from a Peach Wheat and Thai Chili Stout to a Barrel-Aged Wee Heavy and Blueberry Cream Ale.

If it sounds a little wild, it probably is—and that’s the fun of it. You’ll want to stop in often or risk missing the next experimental pour that sells out in a flash.

DOING BEER RIGHT

Great beer shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. At Moonlight, we’re always looking for ways to minimize waste. We feed our spent brewing grains to local livestock, and our 6-pack rings? They're made from barley and are completely biodegradable. Better beer, better karma.
