For 50 years, Salida Aspen Concerts has been bringing world-class music to the Arkansas River Valley. We're proud to support them through Moonlight Mondays.

WHO THEY ARE

Salida Aspen Concerts exists to enrich the life of our community by providing high quality, professional musical experiences for people of all ages, abilities, and incomes. In partnership with the Aspen Music Festival, they've brought a vibrant summer series of classical music to our valley for five decades, hosting six consecutive Saturday concerts beginning in early July.

WHAT THEY’RE UP TO

Salida Aspen Concerts provides the venue and a dedicated local audience, while the Aspen Music Festival brings an extraordinary roster of internationally acclaimed musicians. Their stage has welcomed artists like Joyce Yang, Renée Fleming, Edgar Meyer, and the American Brass Quintet—offering our community rare access to performances typically found only in major cities. Accessibility is central to their mission: all K–12 students get free admission, with accompanying adults eligible for half-price tickets. For their 50th Anniversary, the opening concert of the 2026 season on July 11 is free for the entire community.

Your Moonlight Monday donation helps offset essential expenses like fees to the Aspen Music Festival for performers, venue costs, piano rental, and outreach efforts. It also helps keep ticket prices affordable, ensuring cost is never a barrier to experiencing world-class live music in Salida.

A STORY THAT STUCK WITH US

In 2025, one family from Howard attended every concert in the series. The mother shared that her children, all studying piano, were deeply inspired by the performances. Having access to such high-caliber musicians at an affordable price made a real difference in their musical growth and enthusiasm. That's exactly what this mission is about.
