Monarch Community Outreach

At Moonlight Pizza & Brewpub, we’re all about communityβ€”and Monarch Mountain Community Outreach (MMCO) shares that same spirit. Since 2004, this nonprofit arm of Monarch Mountain has been making waves across Chaffee County, helping other local nonprofits bring their visions to life through financial support and a whole lot of heart.

Who They Are

MMCO is a nonprofit initiative powered by Monarch Mountain and its team, offering grant funding to local organizations working in recreation, humanitarian services, sustainability, and community support. Instead of running programs themselves, they empower other nonprofits to do what they do bestβ€”making a positive difference right here at home.

With over $400,000 given away since its inception, MMCO has helped bring everything from bike helmets for kids to farm-to-table initiatives to life. They’re the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes community magic happen.

What They’re Up To

MMCO continues to fund a wide range of local projectsβ€”whether it’s keeping kids safe on bikes or helping neighbors put fresh food on their tables. One recent success story? A local farm-to-table program that received grant support to provide fresh, local food to the community, strengthening the local food system and supporting area farmers.

Where the Moonlight Monday Funds Go

Funds raised during MMCO’s Moonlight Monday will be added to their growing grant poolβ€”meaning every dollar will be paid forward to other nonprofits doing meaningful work throughout Chaffee County. Your pizza night becomes someone else’s winβ€”and that’s how we like it.

What’s Next for MMCO?

MMCO is now partnering with the Chaffee County Community Foundation to manage the Monarch Mountain Community Outreach Donor Advised Fund. This new chapter will help expand their giving efforts and increase the impact they’re able to have across the region.
